Description
Recessed Mount Magnetic Switches operate similarly to relays by using a magnetic field to close electrical contacts. When a nearby magnet—permanent or electromagnetic—is detected, it pulls the contacts together to complete the circuit. Once the magnet is removed, spring tension separates the contacts, breaking the connection. Thanks to their lightweight internal components, these switches deliver switching speeds up to 10 times faster than standard relays. This ¾″ diameter press-fit model is specially designed for steel doors and high-clearance applications, featuring an extra-wide operating gap of 1 3/8″ (35 mm) and 18″ wire leads for flexible and quick installation.
