Description
Recessed Mount Magnetic Switches function much like relays by using a magnetic field to close an internal contact. When a nearby magnet—either permanent or electromagnetic—is detected, it pulls the metal contacts together, completing the circuit. As the magnet moves away, spring action forces the contacts apart, opening the circuit again. With low-mass contacts, these switches operate up to 10 times faster than traditional relays. The 3/8″ press-fit design allows for quick and secure installations, while the included epoxy-coated magnet offers added durability by preventing corrosion and chipping—ideal for long-term use in demanding environments.
