Description
Overhead Mount Magnetic Switches operate on the principle of magnetic actuation, similar to relays. When a magnetic field—either from a permanent magnet or electromagnet—is brought near, it pulls the contacts together, closing the circuit. As the magnet is removed, the spring-loaded mechanism quickly separates the contacts, opening the circuit. Designed with lightweight internal components, these switches offer switching speeds up to 10 times faster than conventional relays. This 1/4″ press-fit mini switch is compact, easy to install, and ideal for applications requiring a smaller footprint and a 1/2″ (12 mm) operating gap.
