Description
A photocell, also known as a photoresistor or LDR (Light Dependent Resistor), is a light-sensitive device that changes its electrical resistance based on the amount of light falling on it. It works on the principle of photoconductivity—when light strikes its semiconductor material, it releases electrons, allowing current to flow more easily and reducing resistance. The brighter the light, the lower the resistance.
