Overhead Mount Magnetic Switches function like relays, using magnetic fields to control electrical contacts. When a magnet is nearby, it draws the internal metal contacts together to close the circuit; as the magnet moves away, the spring action causes the contacts to open. Their low-mass contact design enables switching speeds up to 10 times faster than standard relays. Designed specifically for heavy-duty use, this roller shutter contact features a sturdy polished aluminium die-cast housing, a wide 2″ (50 mm) operating gap, and a 3′ long stainless steel armoured cable for maximum durability and reliability in industrial and outdoor environments.
