Overhead Mount Magnetic Switches are designed to function like relays by closing an internal electrical contact in the presence of a magnetic field. When a nearby magnet—permanent or electromagnetic—is detected, it pulls the contacts together to complete the circuit. When the magnet moves away, a spring-loaded mechanism separates the contacts, opening the circuit. With lightweight contacts, these switches offer switching speeds up to 10 times faster than traditional relays. This heavy-duty roller shutter model is built with a polished aluminium die-cast housing, features a wide 2″ (50 mm) operating gap, and comes with a magnet mounted on an adjustable L-bracket for flexible alignment. The 3′ PVC cable provides easy wiring for industrial or commercial setups.
